After the town hall, guests leave the steps with bouquets in hand. Some head to a reception venue, others board a boat for the rest of the day. Either way, the wedding can look very different depending on the venue you choose.

A reception venue offers a fixed, often familiar setting. A barge provides a private space set on the Seine, with the option, depending on the boat, to cruise or stay moored. The idea is to choose based on how your wedding day will actually unfold.

A venue offers a fixed space that's easy to divide up

In a venue, the different parts of the reception can be organised across several spaces: cocktails, dinner, the dance floor or the ceremony itself. Access stays the same throughout the reception. This can be useful if you have a lot of suppliers or an elaborate set-up.

A barge becomes part of the setting

On the Seine, the venue itself becomes part of the reception. Depending on the boat, guests can move between an indoor space and an outdoor terrace or deck. While cruising, the scenery naturally changes. Moored, the boat keeps its distinctive setting without moving.
