The captain and the navigation crew
The captain is responsible for navigation and the safety of the boat. Their instructions override any other consideration: timings, circulation, capacity. The crew assist with manoeuvres and with making sure instructions are followed.
Reception and service staff
- A point of contact to coordinate the event with the organiser
- Floor and bar staff, depending on the package chosen
- The caterer's and DJ's teams, if they are external suppliers
Appoint a single point of contact
On the organiser's side, name one person to liaise with the onboard team. This avoids contradictory instructions and speeds up decisions.
Prepare a joint briefing
A short meeting before boarding, with the crew and suppliers, lets everyone agree on the running order, access points and highlights of the evening.
